Position Overview
We are seeking a highly safety-conscious Banksman/Vehicle Marshal to join our team at a busy waste management facility in Erith, Kent. This critical role ensures the safe movement of vehicles and mobile plant across our site while maintaining strict compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate vehicle movements safely around the site
- Establish and maintain safe exclusion zones for operational areas
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic routes and marshaling points
- Ensure full compliance with HSE and site-specific safety regulations
- Complete incident reports and participate in safety investigations
- Deliver driver and operator briefings on site safety procedures
- Monitor and enforce PPE compliance for all site personnel
Essential Requirements
- Valid Banksman/Vehicle Marshal certification (NPORS, CPCS or equivalent)
- Proven ability to communicate clearly with drivers and operators
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations (HSG136 compliance)
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (waste/construction preferred)
